For a bulb grower from Callantsoog, we are designing a rural home in the countryside near Edmonton, Canada. The client is emigrating and continuing his business there. Because the home is prefabricated in China, the design is fully geared towards efficiency and standardization. This allows the house to be assembled on site in a short time—within a few days. The appearance is rustic and blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and local architecture. Generous overhangs provide protection against both harsh winters and hot summers. Inside, everything revolves around space: generous, XL living areas that give the house an open and comfortable character.
